Evening walk at Cadboro Bay

After my 4 hour shift from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, I didn't leave the store immediately. Instead, I tried on some pajamas which I had been eyeing for a while. As I really liked them (there was a bear on them and the phrase 'Bearly awake'), I ended up buying them. Afterwards, I walked to 'Overboard' where Jennifer was currently working. There was a special sale in Overboard where you could get a free bag with flip-flops for every purchase over 40 CAD. I didn't want to spent that much but I really wanted the flip-flops, so I asked Jennifer if she'd give me one of the bags if I just purchased some magnet. She agreed (according to her I probably could have just taken one of the bags, but I would have felt bad about doing that) and so I got another pair of flip-flops and a bag today.
Before catching the bus home, I still bought some groceries at the small supermarket I usually went to in Downtown.
Back at home, I made chicken with rice for lunch. Unfortunately, the chicken legs didn't turn out to well as they were a bit too dark on the outside and partly a bit bloody close to the bone. So I still had some granola after that to get a better taste in my mouth. I spent the rest of the afternoon just reading a bit.

Just before 7 PM, Katrina went with me and the two dogs (once again she had Jasper over for about a week) to Cadboro Bay for a nice evening walk. It was a really nice sight and as usually, I really enjoyed being at the ocean. Since walking through the sand of the beach with shoes was a bit annoying, I took my shoes off again. Nevertheless, walking barefoot wasn't much easier as there were a lot of small pieces of wood and other stuff on the beach.
Jasper was running around like crazy most of the time, playing with other dogs and running into the water. As he was so big, we really had to be careful that he wouldn't get us all wet when shaking his fur. Still, it was definitely cute to watch him, although Katrina had to give him a short shower to get all the dirt off his fur back at home.

This evening, Katrina and I watched two more episodes of 'White Collar' while enjoying some popcorn and ketchup chips. I also really enjoyed the tea I drank - a package from Germany with my favourite tea had just arrived today.
