I have just arrived in Vancouver and after getting my bags, I am currently sitting in the waiting area for my visa. I have only seen the airport so far, which is actually unusually beautiful for an airport: there are small waterfalls and aquariums to behold. It's only past 4 PM but it feels like the middle of the night to me, which it is considering the 9 hours time difference to Germany. I got up at 5 AM today, which means that I have already been up for more than 20 hours. Add the remains of a cold and it's pretty obvious that I am really exhausted.
I also feel kind of sick from the flight but well... the food was a bit disgusting. On the plus side, I could watch the new Star Wars movie and 'The Intern' on the flight, two good movies I had wanted to see for some time.
The plane I was on flew a different route than I had expected (close to the north pole (?) instead of over the US), so here is a very snowish picture I made from the plane window.
